Where prana (lifeforce) flows, quickening, evolution and healing will likely begin to happen. The more we master this principle the more we can create success in fulfilling our deeply held values in all areas of life: spiritual, relational material and more. When we concentrate on what we don’t want–what we fear–we create more worry, anxiety, illness, etc.

This retreat will especially focus on what qualities we want to embody, which will bring us expansion, joy, increased capacities, and success. In this retreat we will use traditional meditation and focusing practices, breath, tratak (single point focusing), remarkable work with the chakras, healing techniques, small breakout group exercises, and more.

Shivananda Thomas Amelio practiced and studied yogic disciplines and philosophy in India where he also edited the book Yoga: The Ultimate Spiritual Path, by Swami Rajarshi Muni. A founding member of Kripalu, he is president emeritus and CEO of the New York Open Center and teaches meditation classes in New York City and programs globally.
